| Glen
Ellen..... is
located approximately 15 miles East of Santa Rosa on hwy
112, heading toward little town of Sonoma in the heart of
the Northern California wine country. Glen Ellen is quaint
and easy going ,and a preferred place to live, by artists,
and musicians.
The Great thing about Glen Ellen is it's
location, climate and small town feeling.. It's close to
all the fun things in Sonoma County.....
Just Northwest are thousand year old redwood
trees at Armstrong Woods , and the famous Russian River,West
is the sonoma coast, East is the Town of Sonoma, South to
Rohnert Park and Cotati , Petaluma and yet it is surrounded
by open country and some of the most beautiful and famous
wineries and vineyards in the world.
The image below was taken
looking east into the center of town , as you come across
the bridge that you see above you it winds around to the
Old Grist Mill, is one of the hot spots in town. Jack Londons
lodge is located up the road to the right in this picture.

You Can almost feel
Jack London walking the streets of Glen Ellen.
Although it looks like
a sleepy little town which it is, some great artist
have lived and played here. The resturants, stores,
quiet atomosphere are fabulous, and the entertainment
will surprise you. The scenery is incredible. Its
surround by open country and rolling hllis. Jack
london park is near by. That is where Jack london
lived before his house burned down. It has now been
turned into a park and historical location.
