Welcome To Forestville

Forestville .......Don't blink or you'll miss it, but it's close to town and the coast.

Forestville ..... is located approximately 50 miles North of San Francisco on Hwy 116 just north of Graton, in the heart of the West County wine country. Forestville is actually a preferred place to live in sonoma county, due to it's location, climate and small town feeling..

It's close to all the fun things in Sonoma County..... Just north are thousand year old redwood trees, Guereneville and the famous Russian River. West is the Sonoma Coast at Jenner, East to Santa Rosa and Sonoma, South to Sebestopol, Rohnert Park, and Petaluma, and yet it is surrounded by open country and some of the most beautiful and famous wineries and vineyards in the world, like Korbel Winery. You know "Korbel Winery" know world wide for it's fine wine, champagne, and of course Korbel Brandy, some of thebest in the world, made right here in Sonoma County on the Russian River.

The town of Forestville is small but it has everything you need including schools church, a grocery store , and great Mexican food. a couple of shops, a drug store, "The Forestville Club" where I think everybody in Sonoma County has partied at least once. I know I remember a couple of serious hanger overs from there. It's a funky little bar you could write a great song about.

The summers are hot here, but the Russian River is close, Winters get lots of rain. The Russian River is near by to fish and raft, and lay around.

The Sonoma Coast is not far from here.. The sping is alive with the wonderful smell apple blossoms in the summer and the winters are wet and cold but usually no snow. There are rivers, and parks near by, and there lots of wide open spaces to explore.

This is a great place raise your kids, or retire, because there's room for everybody to get along just fine. Although as of this writing in 2009 they have been developing the North West area of town and there is actually a small business complex with a fast stop and a couple of other stores, and shops now.

These images were taken from the center of town looking East And West on Main Street (hwy 116) in the actual middle of town. As you can see it's not very big. The Center image is The Mexican Resturant I mentioned earlier . They Have great food

Like I said... don't blink or you'll miss Forestville
